Company founder Mr. Wright began producing the line from his studio apartment over 10 years ago. Response to the little card line was so enormous that it wasn't long before the Wright Card Co. was born.

Each product in the line is designed with selections from his ever expanding personal collection of vintage images. While growing up, he and his parents were regulars at small town flea markets, country barn sales and antique shops throughout the North East United States. It was here that he discovered his passion for collecting vintage photos and cards that had long been forgotten.

For years, he had noticed that is was always difficult to find just the right card for that special person or occasion. He began to envision a line of greeting cards with one-of-a-kind images and unique greetings that could really make people feel special.

Aware of the growing interest in the market place for things that were " retro " and " vintage ", he believed that people might appreciate a card that reminded them of simpler times, a card that strikes a chord and brings back memories, many of them humorous, many sentimental. He carefully reviewed his collection and personally designed a small line of cards.

He began selling the line by walking around to local gift stores. Orders started coming in immediately. After a while he was able to take the business on full time. To do so, he parted from a successful retail career that spanned 10 years. Working for national retail chains, he held positions in buying, product development and store management in both New York City and San Francisco. This experience has served him well as the Wright Card Co. has grown. Today, he still is the driving force and visionary behind the Wright Card Co.
